HIGH EASTER, ESSEX. ORIGINAL INK ARTWORK by DONALD WAXWELL, the Official artist to the Admiralty and writer & illustrator of many books and guides in the 1920s and 30s, particularly of the South East. We believe this artwork from the early 1930s illustrated one of his books and similar of his works at this time were used as carriage print illustrations for railway carriages by the Southern Railway. A biography of the artist by Michael Ffinch has been published. Signed by the artist. Fine detailed ink study, mounted. Artwork Size: 353 x 250mm. Very good condition.
