Landscape painter in oils & watercolour. Born 7/3/1876 at Horncastle, Lincs. Spent some years in business then took up painting full time. Became member of RWS in 1929. Represented in several public collections. Was President of the RWS Art Club. His work was illustrated in 'English Rivers and Canals' and other publications. Lived for many years at Sutton, nr Pulborough, Sussex. Died 29/7/1952.
Produced artwork for LNER Post-War series.
