Henry James Denham (SMA, SGA 1893-)

Painter in oil & watercolour of marine and figure subjects, illustrator. Born Bristol and studied at Bristol School of Art 1906-13 under John Fisher and R.E.J.Bush. Was painting and life master at the school 1913-23. Founder member of Wapping Group 1946 and belonged to the Langham Sketching Club. Exhibited at R.A., R.I., S.M.A., R.W.A. Elected SMA 1947, SGA 1950. Lived at West Wickham, Kent.

Produced artwork for LNER Post-War series.
